WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES

Navigation masterclass

A great workshop for you to develop your navigation skills. Take your navigation skills to the next level and learn new strategies and techniques. We will look at the teaching side of the syllabus and try out different ways to introduce skills to others. This workshop is also a perfect refresher before an assessment.

Science and the outdoor classroom

A fantastic curriculum-related workshop to support teaching beyond the classroom. It will provide a practical series of activities that are designed to engage young people in environmental learning. The activities can be undertaken around or close to the school, centre or other outdoor setting.

The lowland environment

This workshop is aimed at developing your understanding of the natural world. We take a look at various lowland habitats from chalk downs to woodlands and meadows. We will identify general characteristics of rock types, habitats and take a closer look at the wildlife which inhabit this environment. A series of engaging activities are used to help promote our understanding.

Incident management

We have a duty of care to look after the welfare of our clients and also ourselves. Managing an incident can be a very stressful situation to be in as a leader. This workshop helps prepare for those situations from planning to implementation.
