Field Studies in your Local Environment

Nature’s Work has been involved with taking learning Outside the Classroom to schools across England and Wales. The Open Air Laboratory (OPAL) project has formed the basis of most of these workshops and has been working in partnership with the Field Studies Council (FSC) in engaging these groups. The OPAL project is a 5 year programme with 6 separate surveys looking at different aspects of our natural world. The aim of the project is to encourage young people to enjoy nature and learn about the natural world. Research scientist will collate the data that the students upload once the project is complete at the end of 2012.
