Nature’s Work has been working with the following organisation to provide its educational expertise and consultancy advise.
National Citizen Service project
Consulting schools in Manchester to assist the Field Studies Council (FSC) tender application for the National Citizen Service project. The FSC successfully won the tender to deliver the National Citizen Service this summer (2011) as part of the coalition government’s Big Society vision. Nature’s Work are involved in training leaders and staff in First Aid during the training process.
Outdoor Education Advisers Panel
Nature’s Work has been involved with the development and creation of a new series of environmental Outdoor Learning Cards. The Outdoor Learning Cards activities contribute directly to a wide range of educational and development aims for young people and cover four elements of Outdoor Learning that can be
delivered on a school/youth club site and surrounding environment.
Mountain Leader Training England
In 2010 Nature’s Work ran a workshop at a joint MLTE/W Course provider’s workshop at Ogwen Cottage on Sat 26 June. Delegates came fromacross the UK and were involved with delivering SPA, ML and WGL courses. The workshop was designed to update/improve their knowledge of conservation and access which would in turn improve what they deliver to candidates.
Snowdonia Society
Guest speaker on “Recreation and the Uplands” at the Snowdonia Society 2009 annual conference “What future for Eryri’s Uplands Now?” held at Plas Tan-y-Bwlch
